Wedding Week Day 1

Tuesday, October 5, 2010

We are so excited that we are finally down to the last week before Jeff and Jess get married. Monday is my normal day off work and Christi took the whole week off to enjoy it and not be stressed - (she has to make the cakes later this week too). They were able to get the keys to their apartment on Monday so let the moving begin. They rented a moving truck and then it was out to Joey's house in Holland to pickup the items that Jeff was storing in Joey's barn.

Then back to our house to load up the rest of Jeff's things and have lunch. Sorry we didn't take a photo of the delicious Papa Murphy's pizza we ate, but then you would be drooling all over your computers. Next we are off to Jess' place. This is the cute little house that she has rented from her Grandma for the last 6 years. Grandma even popped over to say "hi." She is really going to miss having Jessica live right next door. She kept only what she needed through the end of the week, and now the moving truck and our van is FULL! Time to head over to their new apartment.

Everything looks very nice on the outside. Let's take a look and see what it is like inside... Jess has never had a dishwasher or garbage disposal before - she is going to get so spoiled!! I tease her something fierce about the dishwasher. She said she is just going to use it for extra storage for her books :) This space got VERY full by the time we left, as well as both bedrooms. This is the view out the master bedroom window. When the window is open you can hear the water fountain - beautiful! We are finally DONE! oh, done moving that is - now on to the church where Christi and I need to meet with the gal who is catering the rehearsal dinner for us. The gals are deciding on the table decorations. Christi chose this one for the serving table... What a FULL day - We are exhausted at this point so who wants to prepare dinner? Not us - we headed out to dinner at... This is where Jeremy works. He was off this night, but we wouldn't have been able to see him anyway - restaurants don't normally let the chef out of the kitchen during working hours. Everything was delicious! We both brought home half our dinners so we could sample the desserts. Oops, forgot to get a "before" picture. We both decided that the peanut butter pie was our favorite, but the key lime cheesecake and the carrot cake were both very good too.

A VERY FUN DAY! LET'S SEE WHAT TOMORROW BRINGS
