The Waite Estate Has Moved

Friday, August 5, 2011

Hi everyone I am sorry this is so late but during our move we, of course, had to stop our internet and TV and were supposed to be hooked up again that following Monday after our move.  Well 4 weeks later we are finally hooked up.  I won’t go into detail as to why, lets just say it was not fun dealing with the company, but it did give us much more time to work on the Condo so in the long run it may have been a good thing.  The following pictures are of our move and pictures of our Condo as we purchased it.  In the days ahead I will show you what we have done to it since moving in.  So I hope you enjoy watching the change along with us, without you having to lift a finger (besides your computer mouse).

DSC02193 It’s really unbelievable how fast this all occurred.  Our home sold in 6 days and actually sold before it was supposed to be able to be shown, but a couple from Arkansas was in town and the realtor called to see if they could come through before the show date.  Good thing we did as they purchased the home and we actually got more then we asked as they wanted to be in quick.  So then it was time to pack up and move to our (new) condo which we had to find within a week also.

DSC02198Thank you to all who helped during the move, we couldn’t have done it without you.

This first picture of the Condo is the basement where we would live and sleep in for the next month while we fixed the main level.  So on moving day almost everything was put down there and then Christi did a great job over the next few days organizing it so we had room to move.

Now it was time to tear out the old before the new could go in.  So I took Sunday through Tuesday off so we could just work on getting the Condo ready for the painters, as we were going to have all the cupboards and doors and trim painted White and were going to get all new flooring.  First I will show you some pictures of how the condo looked when we purchased it, and before we started tearing things out.

The other side of this wall will be our

Same with this oven and
range hood.                                         This fridge will end up in the garage.
Cupboard above it will come out.

This is the end of this post which shows our move into the Condo and what the Condo looked liked when we purchased it.  The next post will show us tearing out the old and starting to install the new look.  Hopefully you can enjoy this without breaking a sweat like we have been doing.
