We decided to do something special on Monday’s with Tyler and Gracie. So we are planning to make it fun for them and plan a new adventure or small trip to a park or nature center each Monday. This past Monday was our first adventure, and we chose to walk to the Hudsonville Nature Center. We had taken them there earlier this spring, so we wanted to see what had changed. Here we are leaving on our way as it is only a mile walk from our Condo. Tyler and Gracie wanted to take their scooters and Gracie is much improved from just a few weeks ago. Tyler is fast and scoots ahead and waits for us at the next intersection.
When we got to the entrance of the Nature Center it was about lunch time and Grandma had made some delicious sandwiches all prepared for us. So we all sat down and enjoyed a lunch.
Tyler had to take a picture of Grandma and Grandpa, he did a great job.
Then we looked at the trail map and decided where to start our little hike.
There were not as many flowers out this time but it was still beautiful
It’s off onto our Adventure into the Woods!!!!!!!!!!!
Gracie always things she needs a walking stick. “How about this one Grandpa?”
“I think that one is a little big for you Gracie,
how about finding something your size?”
Gracie checking for Trolls…
Some flowers and beautiful sights along our walk.
“Hey, Wait up for Grandpa, I am not as fast as I used to be.”
Gracie took this picture with my iphone, she did a great job.
This is a view from a scenic lookout, Tyler and Gracie wanted
to go down to the bridge so we made our way down.
We did see some interesting vines how they twisted there way around
some of the trees.
In case you ever lost your way, they even had signs to point you in the
the right direction. Just like the Word of God Points you to Christ when you have lost your way.
Tyler and Grandpa taking a break.
Now this is a Real walking stick, ha ha!
Our hiking adventure is over and Grandma took a picture of us.
It was a great first “Special Monday” with our Grandkids. When we got back home Tyler was a big help to Grandpa when he helped me start building the cabinets for
the kitchen I am putting in downstairs. Hope you enjoyed the pictures as much as we did the day with a beautiful Grandkids.
